Everything you need to know about visiting the show

To help you plan your visit to the show, we have put together some answers to a few frequently asked questions:

Can I bring my baby/under 5 year old?
Yes, The Gadget Show Live is a family friendly show, though the live performances are noisy and may contain flashing lights, loud bangs and pyrotechnics so might not be suitable for very small children. Babies and small children are welcome to join their parents free of charge, and sit on their knees/in their arms. Pushchairs and prams would need to be left outside the arena for any live performances. You do not need to buy a ticket for an under 5 year old.

When do I get sent my ticket?
We would prefer you to select an e-ticket, in which case you should print it straight away and put it somewhere safe. If you really do want a posted ticket, these will be posted out in plenty of time before the show.

Once I have bought my tickets, can I change the day/performance?
Unfortunately not - this is likely to be a sell-out event again this year and it will be very difficult to accommodate changes

What age is a child ticket limit?
The upper limit for a child ticket is age 12.

I now can't come to the show, can I have a refund?
We are sorry, but we are not able to refund tickets for people who can't make it. Ticket Terms & Conditions can be found on the Ticket Booking page of the event website.

I'm coming as part of a large group/coach party, how do we buy tickets?
Email us with details on how many and how to contact you and we will take information on your booking. You will need to pay by credit/debit card for your group.

I am registered disabled and bringing a carer with me, do I have to buy a ticket for the carer?
We can accommodate your carer, though if possible, we would like you to let us know that you are bringing someone to assist you. If you could email us with your booking reference number we will be happy to help.  Please note you do not need to be purchase a ticket for your carer.

Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately not, unless it’s a guide dog.

Are there places to eat at the event?
Yes, there will be a range of cafes and outlets selling food at the NEC.

How do I get to the show?
Take a look at the travel advice page on our website for information and links for car parking and public transport.

Is there parking at the show?
Yes, the NEC has parking near the venue halls. There is a car parking charge for this. More details can be found on the NEC website.

Can I buy things from the show, or is it just for looking around?
There will be companies at the show selling some of the latest gadgets and tech as well as plenty of manufacturers showing off the cutting edge tech available in the next year.

I'm coming in a wheelchair, do you have wheelchair access?
Yes, just select the wheelchair option when you are booking and we will ensure that you are given suitable access to enter the arena.

Why are you charging an extra £1.99 to post me my tickets?
We are encouraging everyone to go for the greener e-ticket option for the event, printing their confirmation or turning up with their e-ticket on their smartphone. We are hoping that by placing a high cost on this you will join us in picking the greener option.

What time should I arrive before the performances?
It's a very busy show and when we open the doors there will be thousands of like-minded gadget fans arriving at the door all at once. For people coming to the first session, we would advise arriving at least an hour before it begins to give you time to get in and over to the arena. The rest of the event is a good day's exploration. If you are coming to the later sessions in the day, you might want to arrive after the event opens so as not to get caught in the opening crowd.

Is the Super Theatre suitable for small children?
The live show is full of flashing lights, strobe lighting and loud bangs. It is advisable that small children do not visit the Super Theatre.

I'm in the trade, what should I do?
Invitations and information for the trade day on the event will be available over the forthcoming months. Our trade day is an exclusive preview for members of the gadget industry, press and access on that day will be by invitation to accredited guest only. To apply for a trade pass click here.
